PRODUCT BENEFITS

Super absorbent fire gels are non-toxic. The formulas do not contain phosphates, ammonia, or arsenic and are proven to be environmentally benign. Gel Systems Canada Inc. is a supplier of products and equipment that are safe to use in wilderness areas near sensitive water sources.

A sunset over a river

The cost of water is low, but the cost to deliver water is not. In situations where water is hauled by aircraft or ground tankers, the cost of assets involved must be factored in to the total expense of the operation.

By using FireGel, users will commonly experience over 7x the efficiency of water alone. This maximizes the productivity of water tenders, ground crews, and support staff.

With a highly visible blue dye pack, it is unmistakable where FireGel has been applied - before and after a fire has come through an area.

The pre-blended FireGel provides seamless protection around assets where sprinklers are not a viable option, without requiring tactical or infrastructure upgrades. It can be mechanically applied, freeing up scarce ground crew resources.

ColorPak Xtreme Blue

Clear or Highly Visible

Gel Systems Canada supplies ready to use (RTU) FireGel in either clear or coloured with fugitive blue. The main ingredient in FG2 FireGel has been approved for use by the US Forest Service for fixed wing or internal tank rotary wing applications, or more economical products for ground and bucketing applications.

Colored RTU FireGel allows the tactical user to build a visual support fire line for:

  • Prescribed burns

  • Defending mechanical firebreaks

  • Protecting property & utility service lines

  • Protecting private or public assets

Although the colored FireGel is proven environmentally benign, a clear solution may be better suited for certain applications where color is determined undesirable, such as:

  • Structural asset protection

  • Ecologically sensitive areas

  • Traditional hunting grounds

  • Federal parks or recreation areas
